Pacific Partnership 2010, the tour of the USNS Mercy and JDS Kunisaki through Southeast Asia and the Western Pacific, has dropped anchor in Cambodia.

The article cited refers to JDS Kunisaki as a destroyer. This is incorrect. Kunisaki is a landing ship, tank.

It’s a bit frustrating to see mention of this rather important annual mission only in the U.S. Military press, Bernama.com, Soldier of Fortune online, The Jakarta Post, and Ethiopian Review. Apparently there are zero American press or non-government bloggers on board. I realize that there may be quite a bit of press in the countries they are visiting, and that’s mostly the point, but it wouldn’t hurt to tell the American and Japanese people what good their armed forces are doing.
